Here is an iPhone 4 display up at Best Buy and what iPhones are actually on display? They are iPhone 3G’s… They are 2 years old with their original software. All of the pictures and information below the display are related the iPhone 4. This could be very misleading to people who are new to the iPhone.

Here is another display showing off the new iPod touch… except there is nothing there. The display model has been crudely ripped off and nobody at the store has bothered to do anything about it.

Apple is a very design and presentation conscious company and these displays do not reflect the company’s image. I understand that Apple products are available to a much bigger audience because of BestBuy but I don’t think any product manufacturer would be happy with the way BestBuy is handling these products.

Mellow Johnny's Cycling Kit Review

The other weekend at Mellow Johnny’s kickoff party for the Tour de France, I gave in and bought a new cycling kit for training. I decided to go with the Italian blue jersey with the white bibs. So far they are great. The bibs fit great and are really comfortable on long rides. While I’m used to dealing with white clothing, it is still a little nerve racking trying to not get anything on the shorts. You can’t beat the look of white cycling shorts though. The jersey also fits well with more of a club fit and the Italian blue is really a great color. My only gripe is that I’m 5”8 with a long torso and the small jersey is still fairly long.

Blythe King's iSocket Cases

I generally do not use a case at all for my iPhone. I just keep it in my pocket. Apple puts a lot of thought and work into their industrial design and most cases ruin all of that work. But given the amount of time I spend training and working out, I need something to keep my phone in that I can carry around or throw into a bag that will protect the phone. I came across the Blythe King’s iSocket cases and was immediately intrigued. Each one of her cases are unique and are crafted from vintage materials and fabrics. I was particularly interested in her cases made from old military uniforms. I ended up grabbing one of the iPhone cases made from an old WWII Navy uniform.

The The case fit perfectly, with a little extra wiggle room so that if you use a low profile hardshell case you could probably still get your iPhone into the sleeve. The bottom corners are also a little bowed out. I’m not sure if this is on purpose or just a result of the construction but either way it is beneficial because it adds a little more impact protection on the corners.

The prices may seem high compared to other cases out there, but the Blythe King’s creations are handmade with unique vintage materials and the quality is amazing. Even the packaging is made from reused materials (a paper grocery bag). If you are looking for a unique case for your iPhone, iPad, Macbook, or other similarly sized device the Blythe King’s store is the place to go.
