Vel-Tye Soft Armor Carrier
Here’s another piece of kit that Vel-Tye made for me recently: a low profile soft armor carrier. [[MORE]]The ubiquitous Eagle Maritime CIRAS vest was part of my standard gear issue, which includes the soft armor inserts as well as plates. I find the LBT 6094 plate carrier to be a far superior vest. It is less bulky and provides a more streamlined setup. The 6094 does provide spaces for...

1660 Pelican MOLLE Lid Organizer
The awesome people over at Vel-Tye here in Virginia Beach made me a custom lid organizer for my 1660 Pelican case to take advantage of extra MOLLE pouches and to give me a modular system for organizing smaller items in my load-out box.
If you are interested in one of these, contact Vel-Tye. They kept the drawings and measurements in my file in case anyone else ended up ordering one.

Arc'teryx Arro 22
Last October I finally got my hands on an Arc’teryx Arro 22. I had searched for months trying to find one. I have never seen one in a store and one dealer thought the pack had been discontinued. Online retailers were always sold out. I finally found one from a dealer on eBay. The Arro is my go to daypack and I have literally used it every day for the past year.

The Arro is marketed...
